THE PROPHECY OF THE POPES BY SAINT MALACHI
and
THE 72nd DAY

FROM THE CATHOLIC ENCYCLOPEDIA, 1913 Edition:

"The most famous and best known prophecies about the popes are those attributed to St. Malachy. In 1139 he went to Rome to give an account of the affairs of his diocese to the pope, Innocent II, who promised him two palliums for the metropolitan Sees of Armagh and Cashel."

At The Catholic-Pages Website, a chart is given listing the names and descriptions of the Popes according to the prophecy of St. Malachy. Beginning with the 167th Pope,

Celestine II, whose short reign lasted from 1143 to 1144, the list includes the Mottos, Latin descriptions which remarkable describe each of the subsequent Popes who reigned from the time of St. Malachy’s Prophecy in 1139.

Disturbingly accurate, though some suggest that some may be viewed to ‘fit’ in a retrospective analysis, are the most recent Popes who have maintained their reign during the Twentieth and Twenty-first Centuries.

Of most recent memory was Pope John Paul II, the 266th Pope to hold the Office and the 110th of St. Malachy’s Prophecy. Pope John Paul, who died in April of 2005, was given the description, De labore Solis (of the eclipse of the sun, or from the labor of the sun). Karol Wojtyla (later Pope John Paul II), was born in 1920, behind the Iron Curtain, the East, where the sun rises.

John Paul II’s strong devotion to Mary, who is by some believed to be the woman clothed with the sun (Rev. 12) seemed validated after he attributed a medal of Our Lady of Fatima as instrumental in saving his life during the assassination attempt in St. Peter’s Square on May 13, 1981. Further validation for De labore Solis seemed to apply during John Paul II’s funeral on April 8, 2005, during which a solar eclipse was visible in the Americas.

After Pope 110, there would be only one more pope before the final Pope of Malachy’s Prophecy. Author Tom Horn, in his highly anticipated Apollyon Rising, discusses the Prophecy of St. Malachy:

More than a few have pointed to the contemporaneous prophecy of Malachy O’Morgair or "St.Malachy" as he is known to Catholics, having to do with "the last Pope."

The prophecy, taken from St. Malachy’s "Prophecy of the Popes," is among a list of verses predicting each of the Roman Catholic popes from Pope Celestine II to the final pope, "Peter the Roman," whose reign would end in the destruction of Rome."

This would of course refer to Pope Number 111, whom we now know to be Pope Benedict XVI, the successor to the Keys of the Kingdom.

THE BENEDICT XVI ENIGMA

Gloria Olivae

From The Catholic-Pages:

The Benedictine order traditionally said this Pope would come from their order, since a branch of the Benedictine order is called the Olivetans.

St Benedict is said to have prophesied that BEFORE THE END OF THE WORLD, a member of his order would be Pope and would triumphantly lead the Church in its fight against evil.

While the Holy Father chose the name "Benedict," THIS DOES NOT SEEM ENOUGH TO FULFILL THE PROPHECY. NOR IS IT CLEAR HOW BENEDICT XVI (a Bavarian) is the "GLORY OF THE OLIVES."

Since he is said to have remarked in the Conclave after saying he would take the name Benedict that it was partly to honour Benedict XV, a pope of peace and reconciliation, perhaps Benedict XVI will be a peacemaker in the Church or in the World, and thus carry the olive branch.

all emphasis, smb

The Book of Malachi is included in the Latin Vulgate as the thirty-ninth book of the Rheims-Douai Bible (1582-1609), which is the most recommended English translation for scholarship and reference.

While the name Malachi is linguistically related to Molech, the Book of Malachi itself chastens the Israelites for their association with the Ammonites and specifically the worship of Molech in the Valley of Gihenom, familiar to many as Gehenna.

It should also be noted that St. Malachy was the first Irish Saint to be canonized by the Catholic Church. This took place on July 6, 1199.

THE ENIGMA OF DAN BROWN

Prophesying in reverse code?

In 2003, Dan Brown published The DaVinci Code, and the novel is credited as being the most popular bestseller of all time with worldwide sales of over 60.5 million in 2006. Dan Brown’s ‘novels’ have been read, debated, challenged and intrigued millions.

Hundreds of websites, books and discussions forums have emerged from the enigmatic author and millions more are awaiting, with near breathless anticipation, the upcoming publication of his newest (and presumably last) revelation, The Lost Symbol to be released on September 15, 2009. But is there more?

ANGELS AND DEMONS

A prophecy soon to come to pass?

Published nine years ago, in 2000, Angels and Demons was the first introduction for many to the premier particle physics laboratory in Geneva, Switzerland, CERN, where the quest for the GOD PARTICLE is set to resume in September or October of this year.

From Dan Brown’s website description of Angels and Demons he begins:

"An ancient brotherhood…

A devastating new weapon of destruction…

An unthinkable target..."

An explosive international thriller, ANGELS & DEMONS careens from enlightening epiphanies to dark truths as the battle between science and religion turns to war…

The Illuminati has surfaced from the shadows to carry out the final phase of its legendary vendetta against its most hated enemy... the Catholic Church....

On April 15, 2009, reprised his role from The DaVinci Code as "Harvard Symbologist," Robert Langdon.  This was released on April 15, 2009, the birthdays of Leonardo DaVinci, and curiously, Dodi Al-Fayed of the Ritz Paris, Princess Diana, Moon Goddess, association.

From Dan Brown's website describing "the plot" of Angels and Demons:

When world-renowned Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon is summoned to a Swiss research facility [smb: CERN] to analyze a mysterious symbol -- seared into the chest of a murdered physicist -- he discovers evidence of the unimaginable: the resurgence of an ancient secret brotherhood known as the ILLUMINATI, the most powerful underground organization ever to walk the earth.

To carry out an ancient vendetta, the Illuminati steal a canister of antimatter, which according to Brown’s FACT page in the 2000 edition, is "highly unstable. It ignites when it comes into contact with absolutely anything…even air. A single gram of antimatter contains the energy of a 20-kiloton nuclear bomb-the size of the bomb dropped on Hiroshima."

The drama continues with the kidnapping, branding and sacrificing of four Cardinals convened in Conclave at Vatican City to determine the successor after the unexpected death of a popular Pope. Their deaths a hideous vengeance on the Four Altars of Science, Earth, Air, Fire and Water.

For our purposes, it is helpful to understand that in Dan Brown's Angels and Demons,

the Pope is murdered by an injection of heparin, which is undetectable as Popes are not subject to autopsy, and the commander of the elite Swiss Guard is named Olivetti.

SO HOW DOES THIS ALL CONNECT?

It would do well to note that while American’s are preoccupied and entertained by Independence Day, summer festivities and the spate of curious celebrity deaths, the geo-political machinations of the world governments continue.

Many await events that might explain Mr. Obama’s cryptic "2nd Hundred Days" announcement of finishing his "work" on the 72nd day (which will be June 11th), and then find time to "rest" on the 73rd day.

Currently, the President of the United States is in Russia (7.7.2009), he will then travel to Aquila, Italy to attend the G8 conference on July 8th and 9th, followed by his first official audience with Pope Benedict on July 10th, "Day 70."

The Prophecy of St. Malachy is one that seems contradictory and has challenged typical Roman Catholic interpretation. Pope Benedict XVI, the first German Pope in 500 years, was elected by the Vatican Conclave on April 19, 2005.

It might be that a few incidentals have been overlooked:

Joseph Ratzinger, Pope Benedict XVI was not of the Order of St. Benedict (interestingly, this means, "blessing," as does "Barack").

It was also noteworthy that the first St Benedict chose the Olivetan Order not because it is reflective of "PEACE," but rather the Olivet Discourse: for the LAST DAYS.

Describing Manley P Hall’s explanation of the Great Pyramid on the obverse side of the Great Seal of the United States and its significance to "72," Tom Horn quotes Manley P Hall,

Here is represented the great pyramid of Gizah, composed of 13 rows of masonry, showing 72 STONES. The pyramid is without a cap stone, and above its upperplatform floats a triangle containing the All-Seeing Eye surrounded by rays of light…

THE KEY OF THE VATICAN

While Joseph Ratzinger was elected Pope on April 19, 2005, the Solemn Liturgy for the Beginning of his Pontificate was held on April 24, 2005.

Author, art historian and radio host Stephen Quayle recently noted that the famous The Last Judgment in the Vatican’s famed Sistine Chapel was completed in the year 1541 by Michaelangelo.

Almost eerily, the number of days between Pope Benedict, St Malachy’s 111th Pope and the last Pope before the final, apostate Pope, Peter the Roman, and Mr. Obama’s 72nd Day is exactly 1541 days.

So do we live in a world ruled by cryptic ciphers? Are the ancient hidden messages of DaVinci, Michaelangelo and others telegraphing something so deep and ancient that they defy human explanation? Is Dan Brown carrying the torch to bring us to an even more staggering revelation? Consider the following:

A HISTORY OF THE PAPACY WRITTEN IN THE THREADS OF HERALDRY

The Coat of Arms of His Holiness Benedict XVI

The Coat of Arms of His Holiness Benedict XVI

From The Heraldic Language of Benedict XVI:

There is an at least 800-year-old tradition for Popes to have their own personal coat of arms, in addition to the symbols proper to the Apostolic See…

… Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, elected Pope and taking the name Benedict XVI, has chosen a coat of arms rich in symbolism and meaning that transmits to history his personality and Pontificate.

A coat of arms consists of a shield bearing several important symbols and surrounded by elements that indicate the person's dignity, rank, title, jurisdiction and more.

The shield chosen by Pope Benedict XVI is very simple: it is in the shape of a chalice, the most commonly used form in ecclesiastical heraldry...

The principal field of the coat of arms is the central one which is red. At the point of honour of the shield is a large gold shell that has a triple symbolism.

The SCALLOP SHELL, moreover, has been used for centuries to distinguish pilgrims. Benedict XVI wanted to keep this symbolism alive, treading in the footsteps of John Paul II, a great pilgrim to every corner of the world. The design of large shells that decorated the chasuble he wore at the solemn liturgy for the BEGINNING OF HIS PONTIFICATE, SUNDAY 24 APRIL, WAS MOST EVIDENT.

The scallop is also an emblem that features in the coat of arms of the ancient Monastery of Schotten near Regensburg (Ratisbon) in Bavaria, to which Joseph Ratzinger feels spiritually closely bound.

THE ETHIOPIAN CONNECTION

Moor of Freising, Caput Ethiopicum

THE MOOR’S HEAD IS NOT RARE IN EUROPEAN HEARLDRY. It still appears today in the arms of Sardinia and Corsica, as well as in the blazons of various noble families. Italian heraldry, however, usually depicts the Moor wearing a white band around his head instead of a crown, INDICATING A SLAVE WHO HAS BEEN FREED; whereas IN GERMAN HERALDRY THE MOOR IS WEARING A CROWN.

The MOOR’S HEAD IS COMMON IN BAVARIAN TRADITIONs and is known as the CAPUT ETHIOPICUM or the MOOR OF FREISING.

The Sistine Chael, THE LAST JUDGMENT, Michaelangelo, 1541

In the center of The Last Judgment, the Hebrew letter gimmel can clearly be identified. As the third letter of the Hebrew alphabet, the gimmel itself speaks of justified repayment: the giving of reward or punishment. In the context of the painting itself, it appears under the outstretched right arm of God:

And I myself will fight against you with an outstretched hand and with a strong arm, even in anger, and in fury, and in great wrath.

Jeremiah 21:5

TIMING IS EVERYTHING

While the US is preoccupied with the events and mysticism surrounding the death and memorial of the King of Pop Rock, Michael Jackson, it might serve well to understand

the significance of these dark rituals taking place on this Tuedsay,7/7/2009, Biblically a day of double ‘blessing,’ during a full moon with the extremely cryptic Rolling Rock Pale Horse Ale 33 beer billboard from 2008, suggesting that we "WATCH THE NEXT FULL MOON!"

From The Catholic-Pages:

However, it should be noted that some commentators over the centuries have pointed out that there is nothing that says there will be no popes between Gloria Olivæ and Petrus Romanus. It may be that there will be a long line of popes between them!
